In order to carry out the concept of continuous improvement and continuously strengthen the safety and environmental protection, Xingtai Steel organized a surveillance audit of ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (hereinafter referred to as Safety and Environment System) from August 30 to September 3, 2021. Three audit experts from BSI (British Standards Institute) were invited to supervise and audit the company's safety and environmental system, and the relevant principals of each unit participated in the whole process as jurors.
Through consulting document and on-site visit, The experts carried out on-site assessment from the mechanism construction, process management, risk control, ability awareness, safety and environmental performance and other aspects, recorded operational aspect of the safety and environmental system of each unit, and made a targeted, consistent, objective evaluation according to the system standards and relevant laws and regulations.
In the final meeting, the audit team leader expressed high recognition of the achievements, and considered that the effect of essential safety and environmental protection investment is remarkable. At the same time,he put forward suggestions for compliance evaluation, related party monitoring and emergency management, and gave full affirmation to the result of final on-site assessment and the maintenance of the certificate. The company executives expressed their gratitude to the experts for their guidance in five days. For the problems in operating system, the executives required relevant departments to overhaul and learn by analogy to achieve the continuous improvement of the safety and environmental system.
