Recently, the Hebei Society for Metals evaluated two scientific and technological achievements, “Development and industrial application of high performance steel for fastener” and “Development and application of large-size cold heading steel with high hardenability and high cleanliness”. The two scientific and technological achievements have reached international advanced level.
The project “Development and industrial application of high performance steel for fastener” develops a collaborative control mode of high-efficiency dephosphorization in converter, fast desulfurization in LF refining and strong cycle deoxidation in RH, which effectively reduces the content of phosphorus, sulfur, oxygen and non-metallic inclusions in steel; it constructs a control model of billet segregation in continuous casting process, which effectively reduces carbon segregation and pattern segregation; it develops an online control technology for rolling process, which realizes precise control oftechnological parameter and precise regulation of structure property; it also develops the technology of precise deep processing and heat treatment, which significantly improves the structure property of materials during heat treatment.
The project “Development and application of large-size cold heading steel with high hardenability and high cleanliness” designs a component system of large-size cold heading steel with high hardenability and realized the homogeneity and stability of product performance through narrow composition control; it develops a control technology of molten steel cleanness, which greatly reduces the formation of large-size inclusions; it develops a control technology of the slab cracks on hot delivery and hot charging; it studies the evolution and characteristics of casting billet defects in the rolling processs, optimizes the rolling process, significantly reduces the surface defects of coils and improves the cold heading performance of the product; it constructs a rolling process protocol module, which realizes the precise control of product organization, and effectively improves the cold heading performance and deep punching performance of the material. The improved products, which have good performance, are widely used in automobile, high speed railway, bridge, wind power and other fields, having been unanimously recognized and praised by downstream customers.
The two scientific and technological achievements create 20 authorized patents and 32 papers. Therefore, Xingtai Steel was allowed to participate in drafting 2 national standards. It not only optimizes the product structure, enriching the high-end steel series of Xing Steel, but also improves the brand effect of high-end products, creating significant economic and social benefits.
